Anniversary Herb Garden

My sweet hubby scored big this anniversary (our 6th!). I have wanted a little herb garden for quite some time. I love the idea of growing my own herbs and walking outside to my little garden to gather spices for dinner. We didn't really have a great spot to do this in Germany (where Baylor would leave it alone) and we hadn't started one here because it is one of those "low priority" things. Well, Coleman decided that we had waited long enough and he took the opportunity of our anniversary to bless me. We found an old washbasin at a great antique store here and then filled it full of our favorite things -Rosemary, Basil, Cilantro, Thyme, Oregano, Sage, Serrano Chilies and Mint. We also went out to a farm/restaurant in South Phoenix for a Valentine's Day breakfast and bought a little heirloom tomato plant while we were there. We had a great time planting it all and and are loving seeing our little plants thriving - some of them have doubled in size already!

Baby's Room

A couple of people have been asking for pictures of the nursery and I am finally getting around to doing it. I love the way that it is looking so far! I can't wait to have a little McDonald asleep (or crying, or playing) in there. That will be a great day. Please keep us in your prayers as our adoption has been moving very slowly lately. We should be on the wait list any time now but we have heard that for about two months now. Pray that Arizona gets everything finished and sent on very soon.

Begging Giraffe - Seriously!

A couple of weekends ago Coleman took me to the zoo and we saw this Giraffe actually begging for food. It was just standing in front of a platform looking from person to person until the trainer had to come and waive it off - hilarious!

Birthday Girl

On February 12th our sweet baby girl turned 5 years old!! I can't believe it. Her daddy and I actually remembered (for once) and we decided to throw her a little family party. We took her to PetsMart and got her a new bed, let her pick out her own toy and made her 5 cheddar cheese biscuits. She had a great day. Baylor Bear McDonald, Queen for the Day!
